About Tiny Tails Rabbitry

Our Goals:

Our goal is to raise friendly, healthy, happy lionhead bunnies. We don't just want to find them homes, but we want them to find GOOD homes.

What is a "good home" for a bunny?

A good home is a place where a bunny feels safe, loved, cared for, and happy. Where they are cherished, protected, and remembered. Where they can binky, flop, and sleep.

How Our Bunnies are Raised:

Our bunnies are handled from day 1. We check them every day to ensure they're developing correctly and eating well. We check for injuries, sicknesses, and anything else wrong. We handle them as much as possible in hopes that they become friendly and sweet.

They're fed a non-GMO, soy free, local pellet mixed with organic alfalfa hay pellets, local unsprayed orchard hay, and organic homemade treats. Additionally, we provide them with supplements like BOSS, oats, and herbs as needed.

At around 7 weeks old, our bunnies get weaned from their dams. At this age, the babies are no longer nursing, and are eating 100% solid food. Then we keep the bunnies until at least 8 weeks old to make sure they're doing well away from their dam. After 8 weeks old, we start allowing their owners to pick them up.

How Tiny Tails Rabbitry began:

In 2019, I was gifted the sweetest, calmest, friendliest little bunny named Charlie. He always perked up when he saw me, and whenever I set him down to enjoy some fresh greens, he only moved 2 feet to the next patch of clover. I taught him how to jump over things, and planned to make him a jumping course! I never got to do that though. In very early spring of 2020, I discovered my worst nightmare. Charlie was sick. He was about 8-10 years old at that time, so he had lived a long life. It was likely he was sick before I got him, but neither me nor my neighbor who gifted him to me, knew. Sadly, no matter what I did, he passed away. My heart had broken, but I will always thank him for putting love of Lionhead bunnies in my heart. Below are a couple pictures of my sweet baby Charlie.💖🥰

This picture was taken on October 28th, 2019 when my family and I took Charlie into our open arms!

Mr. Charlie got into the carrots and received a funny looking rainbow mouth!🤣
